Chronicles: A Lamentation

Song of the Goat, an international company based in Poland , (who list as their duties setting up a soup kitchen for the homeless in Warsaw ), have arrived at the festival with an amazing production. Combining feats of astounding physical ability and ancient rhythmic chanting you feel as if the company have tapped into the very essence of your being. You do not sit back and watch this production but are moved by it on a more psychological and sub conscious level.

Dealing with both life and death, we are taken through a series of linked set pieces, each flowing into the other, we are overwhelmed with dancing, birth, fighting and inevitably death, accompanied only by an occasional wail from the accordion.

This is a fabulous production that should be seen by everyone. It cannot fail to tug at the heartstrings and leave you amazed at the extraordinary movement of a talented and versatile cast.
