Hambledog and the Hopping Clogs

Times are hard for Hambledog and Granny Cobble, nobody wants any shoes made or repaired. Well, that's what happens when you make shoes that are so good that they'll last forever! Then Twist the cat appears and causes lots more trouble for Hambledog and Granny Cobble, sending Hambledog off on adventures where he meets all sorts of people, and learn lots of things too.

With a limited budget, director Jemima Levick and designers Lisa Sangster and Kathryn Smith, have been imaginative and resourceful with their production. Actors Natalie Bennett, Stanley Pattison and Joshua Young are excellent, Bennett and Young bringing life and considerable wit to a whole host of characters that Hambledog, the extremely energetic Pattison, meets on his travels. Apart from a few unpolished moments, this is an excellent production.

This is an extremely funny production for children aged four and up, (all the way up). A great laugh with A1 performances.
