Hypocrite

This small scale production raises a question about hypocrisy. A picture-perfect family are having problems with their son, and are horrified when they discover that he has been keeping a dead man in their shed.

Yvonne and her husband have been unable to understand why their son has been so withdrawn and dropped out of college. It is all too quickly revealed that he's discovered what his father does for a living. Wanting to provide well for his family he chose to develop biological warfare for a living.

The direction and acting are both admirable and Yvonne is played particularly well by Georgina Pearson. Rapid Construction aim to provide a fresh atmosphere on stage, hoping not to recreate the staleness sometimes seen in over-rehearsed productions. They are successful in this, although there is an underlying feeling that the script lacks in depth knowledge of the subject matter.
